Jewish students at Kansas State meet for coffee and informal discussions weekly; hold monthly meetings showing films, and host guest speakers of Jewish interest, etc. Kansas State's Jewish students are a diverse group with students from Brazil, Costa Rica, Israel, and Russia. Services, all holiday celebrations, and monthly Sunday morning brunches are held in conjunction with the highly supportive and welcoming Jewish community. Kansas State activities, through the Universitys committee on religion, include a campus Holocaust remembrance ceremony, a Martin Luther King, Jr. commemoration, Racial and Ethnic Harmony week activities, and interfaith dialogues. Students also participate in Hillel events at the University of Kansas, one and a half hours away.
