Wheaton College Hillel is located in Cole Memorial Chapel, within the Department of Service, Spirituality, and Social Responsibility. Wheaton Hillel is one of the most active student groups on campus, meeting weekly and partnering with academic departments and other student groups on campus to engage the community with educational and cultural events, and religious celebrations several times per month. There are many opportunities for student leadership, and each year`s focus is shaped by the interests of the student leaders. In the past two years, student-lead Shabbat services have been held every other month. A part-time advisor is on campus one day per week to assist students in promoting Jewish life on campus. Additionally, faculty advisors from Wheaton`s academic departments (Religion, German, etc.) provide valuable guidance and resources to the Wheaton Community. While Wheaton`s Jewish population is small in size, there is great student participation and support from faculty, administration, and the regional Jewish community.
