Darrell D. Friedman Institute for Professional Development at the Weinberg Center

Mission Statement:
The Darrell D. Friedman Institute is a training program that prepares participants for meaningful careers in the Jewish community. DFI provides internships in Baltimore and Washington DC, monthly career development seminars, an overseas mission to Odessa and Israel, mentoring and networking opportunities, and leadership missions to NY and DC Jewish organizations. DFI gives students the additional tools to succeed as professional leaders in the field while they are concurrently enrolled in master’s degree programs at area universities in Jewish Communal Service, Jewish Studies, Jewish Education, Social Work, Public Policy, Pastoral Counseling, and Non-profit Management. In addition, DFI offers continuing professional training for those already working in the Jewish communal field, serving as a resource for skill enhancement within a Jewish context.
