Miami University is not only a beautiful and welcoming campus, it’s also home to an vibrant and safe Jewish community — and Hillel is at the heart of it all. Hillel is your go-to hub for Jewish life on campus. No matter your Jewish background, there is something here for you! With approximately 800–1,000 Jewish students from all over the country and world, you’ll find a diverse and inclusive community that celebrates everyone’s unique journey. Hillel hosts a huge variety of programs throughout the year — Shabbat dinners and holiday celebrations, Israel trips, leadership opportunities, social events, and everything in between. Hillel: AJS (Association of Jewish Students) is an active student group registered at Miami University. AJS has won multiple University awards for programming and community service. We have many different ways to get involved, from our Jewish Business Leadership Council, in partnership with Farmer School of Business, one of our many student internship leadership opportunities, to being involved as a Jewish leader in Greek life, learning about and supporting Israel and much more! At Miami University, Jewish life is thriving — and we’re always working with students to launch new initiatives and continue to embrace a strong Jewish life on campus. Kosher Dining
The University works with any and all students who have dietary needs. Dining services will help develop a kosher meal plan and will make every effort to adhere to dietary needs. There is also glatt kosher food available in nearby Cincinnati. Kosher meals are also offered by Hillel at Miami University for Breakfast for Dinner, Sunday Brunch, special events, and on Shabbat and holidays.

Religious Services
Hillel at Miami University conducts pluralistic, egalitarian Shabbat services and innovative options throughout the academic year. When services are held on Friday nights, they are student-led. Students and staff help plan, conduct, and participate in Shabbat and holiday celebrations including Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, a break fast, Sukkot, and one Passover Seder. Celebratory meals for all holidays and kosher for Passover meals are provided. Hillel hires a Rabbi on a regular basis to help enrich Jewish life on campus and lead High Holiday services.
