Explore Ursinus College Hillel
Ursinus Hillel has its own, cozy house on campus with a fully-equipped kosher kitchen and four beautiful single rooms that serve as a residence hall. Jewish students gather at UC Hillel every Friday evening for an awesome homecooked Shabbat meal, ritual, and good company. Ursinus College Hillel celebrates Jewish holidays together, and brings speakers and events throughout the year. Motivated students can create the programs they want to see--past programs have dealt with topics ranging from the connections between Judaism and organic farming to comedy about tensions in the Middle East. The campus Hillel coordinator is available as a resource to students to help them lead programs, lend a listening ear, or answer any questions about Judaism. The campus coordinator also leads engaging learning sessions on diverse aspects of Judaism as part of monthly Bagel Brunches and weekly Lunch and Learn discussions. Students can take part in an annual Shabbat retreat with students from other area Hillels. The Jewish population at Ursinus is small, but the Hillel is a popular place for all kinds of students to be. Jewish student life is alive and well at Ursinus!
