AJS Dissertation Completion Fellowships

This fellowship encourages the timely completion of doctorates and creates a cohort of fellows who will lead the field of Jewish Studies for decades to come. Launched in 2016, this program awards seven fellowships annually ($20,000) to PhD students entering the final year and completing a dissertation in Jewish Studies.

Albert Strickler Memorial Fund

The fund provides an interest-free loan of up to $5,000 to medical students, preferably of the Jewish faith, who demonstrate a significant need for financial aid and are enrolled in an accredited U.S. medical or osteopathic school.

Aleksander and Alicja Hertz Memorial Fellowship

This fellowship supports doctoral or post-doctoral research on Polish-Jewish history in the modern period, including the Holocaust period, and Jewish contributions to Polish literature and culture. This fellowship carries a stipend of $8,000 for three months of research at the YIVO Library and Archives.

Alpha Iota Scholarship

This scholarship shall be awarded to a graduate student who is a member of the Alpha Epsilon Phi (AEPhi) Alpha Iota Chapter at the University of Minnesota.All applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and will be scored based on academic performance; chapter, campus and community activities and financial need. Applicants for undergraduate scholarships MUST be initiated members who are rising juniors, and seniors. These women must be full-time students for the coming year. Graduate applicants must have completed at least one year of graduate studies prior to applying.

This scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate or graduate students with a minimum GPA of 2.5 seeking a bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree at an accredited college. Applicants must self-identify as Jewish, be a resident of the Greater Cleveland area, have a family household income of $150,000 or less.

American Jewish Archives Fellowship

This Fellowship Program was founded so students and scholars could gather to research and study at the American Jewish Archives. Scholars come to Cincinnati to conduct in-depth research at the American Jewish Archives and to take part in the academic community of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.

American Jewish League For Israel Scholarships

The AJLI Scholarship program's mission is to foster Jewish spiritual and cultural values through the experience of living and studying in Israel. Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation, their most recent transcript, and letter of acceptance to a study program in Israel.

American Zionist Movement’s HBR Scholarship

Reich scholarships are awarded each fall and spring to American college students accepted to study in Israel at an undergraduate program at Ben-Gurion University, University of Haifa, or Tel Aviv University for a minimum of one semester (preference to students attending for a full year). Applicants must have a minimum college GPA of 3.5.
