Rising high school juniors and seniors in the Memphis Jewish community are eligible for up to $3000 in funding to participate in a recognized summer or semester program in Israel, while high school graduates in the Memphis Jewish community are eligible for up to $4000 in funding to participate in a recognized gap year, summer, or semester program in Israel (through age 32)

The William and Theresa Meyer Award for Asian and Middle Eastern Studies is given to a student engaged in any form of humanities or social studies focusing on the Arabic-speaking countries, Israel, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan and Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Burma, Thailand, China, Korea and Japan.

Miami Israel Program Scholarships

Federation offers need-based assistance for Miami-Dade County residents, ages 15 to 26. Funding is one-time only, and awards are based on need and length of an approved Israel program, which must be a minimum of three weeks in duration.

Mickey and Ruth Schimmel Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation

This scholarship was established by the family of the late Mickey and Ruth Schimmel. The Schimmels grew up during the Depression, which made attending college impossible for either of them. Yet they were both able to succeed. It's the family's hope that two special, motivated students can reach their dreams with this scholarship.

Mildred Engel Nurse Scholarship

This fund was established in 1992 to provide financial assistance to individual(s) needing a scholarship to secure an associate or baccalaureate degree in nursing. There is a requirement for the recipient to work at Heritage Manor for a minimum period of one (1) year following graduation from nursing school.

Minneapolis Israel Center Scholarship Fund

Minneapolis-based Jewish men and women ages 16 years and over are eligible to apply. Families with a total annual household income of under $120,000 will be considered for financial assistance. Israel programs must be at least three weeks in length, sponsored by an organization with a strong educational component.
