Rutgers Jewish Awards for Outside Research or Study

This awards enables students to pursue research related to Jewish Studies at institutions other than Rutgers, in the U.S. or abroad. Applicants must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with a major or minor in Jewish Studies at Rutgers. Students at Rutgers in MA or PhD programs doing Jewish Studies research are also eligible.

Rutgers Jewish Studies Awards

To be eligible for an award, students must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors with a declared major or minor in Jewish Studies. Graduate students at Rutgers enrolled in MA or PhD programs who are doing research on a topic in Jewish Studies are also eligible for consideration.

Ruth and David Musher Fellowship

One (1) fellowship will be awarded each year to a deserving scholar engaged in graduate level, post-doctoral, or independent study to conduct research in the JDC Archives facility in New York or Jerusalem. The amount granted will be $2,500 per fellow per year.

Ruth and David Musher JDC Archives Regional Fellowship

The Ruth and David Musher Fellowship is for regional research focused on Israel and North African Jewish communities. Four fellowships will be granted to deserving scholars engaged in graduate level, post-doctoral, or independent study to conduct research in the JDC Archives on JDC's work in Israel or North Africa.

Ruth and Victor David Scholarship

The Ruth and Victor David Scholarship is a $4,000 award to a Quebec student enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies in Montreal; based on need and merit. Applicants must provide a transcript of grades, show proof of Quebec residency, and show a history of community involvement.

Ruth B. Fein Prize

The AJHS awards the Ruth B. Fein Prize as a travel stipend to a graduate student to help undertake research at the American Jewish Historical Society. Ruth Bader Ginsburg Scholarship

This shall be awarded to a student applying during her second year of law school who exhibits excellence in academic achievement and who shows financial need. All applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and will be scored based on academic performance; chapter, campus and community activities and financial need. Applicants for undergraduate scholarships MUST be initiated members who are rising juniors, and seniors. These women must be full-time students for the coming year. Graduate applicants must have completed at least one year of graduate studies prior to applying.
