Yom HaZikaron



On Yom HaZikaron, the national mood in Israel shifts to one of quite reflection and remembrance as Israelis commemorate fallen soldiers as well as victims of terrorism. Israel’s Memorial Day concludes with transition ceremonies called Tekesei Maavar, marking the "switch" from the somber mood of Yom HaZikaron to the raucous celebration of Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israeli Independence Day.
